![]() Christine Anderson, Owner / President Christine Anderson is the Director of Christine Anderson & Associates (CA&A PR), a public relations firm for architecture, design and the fine arts. She is responsible for overall account planning, strategy and supervision. During the 20 years her agency has been in operation, she has publicized numerous projects of design merit, including Steven Ehrlich's multi-million dollar Sony Music Building and Campus in Santa Monica and the Shatto Recreation Center; the model for an avant-garde, internationally heralded $2-million deconstructivist residence entitled "The Open House", designed by Coop Himmelblau; Sitag Furniture; the new MAK Center for Art and Architecture; and represented Dworsky and Associates Architects and Planners; Lee, Burkhart, Liu, Inc.; Taylor & Associates; Altoon + Porter; Gonzales›Goodale Architects; Arquitectonica; Frederick Fisher and Partners; Richard Landry, AIA; and many other architectural firms. She also publicized, from start to finish, hundreds of special events and campaigns, including the Pacific Asia Museum's Festival of the Autumn Moon; the Lewis Baltz Retrospective at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; the L'Ermitage Hotel Group property; Le Mondrian on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood; the Treasure Island Hotel in Las Vegas; MCA Universal CityWalk; the SKG DreamWorks Animation Campus; the Berlin Wall exhibition in Santa Monica and the exclusive Venice Renaissance development on Main Street in Venice Beach, California, featuring Jonathan Borofsky's internationally renowned public sculpture "Ballerina Clown". CA&A PR works in all facets of communications and provides PR representation, expertise in media relations, and marketing support for a variety of prestigious architectural and arts organizations. The staff advises clients on cultural support programs and develops and implements public relations programming keyed to the business community. A former journalist and art dealer, Ms. Christine Anderson brings together a unique blend of creative talent. Her staff has extensive training and experience in public relations and brings artistic sensibilities to every task on behalf of her clients. Ms. Anderson established her specialty as an arts and architecture publicist at Flow Ace Gallery, Inc., Los Angeles. Her work for this avant-garde gallery included the sale and publicity of works by over 40 internationally known contemporary painters and sculptors. Prior to starting her own firm, she honed her specialty in arts and design while serving as an account executive for two major L.A.-based PR firms. Ms. Anderson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from UCLA and has completed a year towards her Master of Arts degree in film and television, also from UCLA. As a graduate student, she served as the Master's Program Member of Student Committee for the Arts. Her career activities include participation in the L.A. Conservancy, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Craft and Folk Art Museum and the Santa Monica Museum. She is also a member of the exclusive national organization of women in the arts, ArtTable. Ms. Anderson has reported for the National Public Radio's "Performance Today" and KCRW radio for the arts magazine program, "Arts L.A". |
